Technicolour Dream 2 is a musical play based on the contemporary situation in Nagaland and addresses the questions of the people living in that geographical terrain. The play weaves personal history along with documents and information of civil uprisings and underground movements aimed at self-determination. The personal histories refer to revisitings of childhood, upbringing, academic institutions, friends and families, generations and ethnic connections. Located in a context of multiplicity, the play also raises questions of identity while touching upon various socio-cultural and psycho-political issues with a stress on the desire for peace and unity. Presented in a fragmentary and non-linear pattern, it provides an insight into the fears, aspirations and conflicts of the young generation of the Nagas.
