THE PLAY A bunch of clowns decide to put up a show of Hamlet. In doing so they end up looking at it in different ways - at times misinterpreting the text, at times finding new meanings in it, but overall, making a complete mess of it. They chose to use some phrases from the play and mix it up with gibberish. They edit different parts, throw out important scenes and ruin the sequence. Yet, they appear blameless, because in everything they do they are simply trying to find meaning in the text in the context of our own times. |
